Hi, I have noticed serious problems with 5009 affecting the whole router to lose packets randomly, when using SFP or SFP+ modules. The device randomly keeps losing packets on all Interfaces (not only the bridged ones) and degrades performance. Reboot helps but only for a couple of minutes. There are no firewall rules, mangle, nor queues - all fast path.
3 years, MT 7.20 and still flaws with this device. No problems with other devices with similar config. What’s with you MT?

I also have RB5009, since shortly after it came out (actually, I have 2: 1 at home and 1 at work).
No issues here.
How did that device move to 7.20 ? Did you ever perform netinstall on it ?

In case you really really don't want to do this, it might be advised to put your config on the table.
Perhaps someone can spot something odd.
Maybe is faulty SFP/SFP+ module that causes to drop packets and slow entire traffic. Also question is what FW used before upgrade to 7.20? If causing the same issue like before?
