I have the mikrotik router v4.11 configured to use the SIXXS tunnel and are serving ipv6 public ipaddresses to clients. All is working well, except the mikrotik router does not serve webpages to either the SIXXS 6to4 tunnel ipv6 address nor the ipv6 address assigned to one of the true ethernet interfaces. Our Domain is hosted by GoDaddy.com and I have put the ipv6 dns records there pointing to the ipv6 address of the tunnel interface. I can ping the dns name of the mikrotik router and it does resolve to the ipv6 address of the tunnel on the mikrotik. Anyone have an idea what I am missing? Or does the mikrotik not serve webpages yet via ipv6? The webpages that will not work are the status page, userman, and hotspot login pages. I can get to ipv6.google.com just fine.
It doesn’t do that. IPv6 is still being implemented. Hotspots as they are working now fundamentally cannot work with IPv6. There’s a long recent and ongoing thread in the beta forums regarding that.
IPv6 dunt werk on HotSpots yet.
Hotspot can be made to work on IPv6, Mikrotik has just chosen not to implement it yet.
not this discussion again … please search before you post
Which part do you think I have wrong.
Please tell me it’s the part that Mikrotik has decided not to implement hotspot and that you are in fact going to do it soon.
And please don’t tell me that IPv6 doesn’t do NAT so hotspot won’t work because that’s just not the case (see the other thread on this)
