Hello, new user here. I have router with 7.15.3 version and with this DNS settings:
/ip dns
set allow-remote-requests=yes
cache-max-ttl=12h
cache-size=65536KiB
max-concurrent-queries=1000
max-concurrent-tcp-sessions=200
max-udp-packet-size=2048
servers= 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4
There is a problem with Playstation services. If i reboot router, or do DNS flush, queries from consoles, or app to playstation network will work. But after 12 hours, it looks like it cannot setup new connection to their services. Again, if i do dns flush, it will work for another 12 hours. Where could be a problem? Do i have to add dns entries to their servers manually?
I have the same problem, since some time Playstation started to have problems with connecting to PSN servers. I also found that flushing DNS cache sometime restores PSN connections.
But I also found that it’s not so much the MT-DNS problem. I just flushed the DNS cache with ISP DNS resolvers configured and no luck. Then I switched to Google 8.8.8.8, flushed the DNS cache and restarted network connections. PS5 sing-in to PSN instantly. I assume PSN is changing IPs of their servers very offen to avoid attacks etc and makes DNS updates. DNS resolvers TTL caches blocks this? Just an idea… didnt hade time to investigate it further.
