I’m using an RB1200 with the Hotspot feature and radius authentication using FreeRADIUS. The problem I’m running into is that my customer’s sessions seem to timeout too quickly. I have looked into the Idle Timeout and Keepalive Timeout features in the MT manual, but those appear to only deal with unauthorized hosts. I understand the value of those attributes, but I’m looking to change how long the router allows a session to stay active before it disconnects the host and requires it to log back into the system.
It seems that it could be a setting in FreeRADIUS, such as Session-Timeout, but I’m not sure. I understand if this ends up being a question for a FreeRADIUS forum, but I thought I’d check with MT first.
Can any of you gurus help me find that attribute so I can manage the amount of time a session lasts?
