Set static ip as dhcp client

Hi!

I have a switch crs328 that receive ip from the main router that I do not controll.

All my ethernets ports belongs to bridge and I receive ip as a dhcp client from bridge.

How can I set a static ip to my crs328? For example 10.0.0.25?

Just an example, every time that the router reboots, (once again, I do not controll it) my ip change

the range it’s 10.0.0.XXX, but almost every week change from 10.0.0.25 to 10.0.0.30 to 10.0.0.32… and so on

Why not ask the administator of the router?
You might get into lots of problems when you configure an IP address yourself. And by asking how to do it…you will.

People that own the router do not now how to do it...

Different approach: why do you want it?

cause I have a wireguard server and when I first ask to the owner he paid to someone to open ports to my switch ip at the time

10.0.0.25

But every time that change, I can't acess to the server... only when he gets this 10.0.0.25 ip...

Setting it fixed will most probably cause IP conflicts, the router will not be happy about it.
Only options I can think of:
Select an IP address outside of the DHCP scope
Set that IP address in /ip address (make sure to fill in all relevant information)
Forward to that IP address

You will always need some help from the administrator.

dammmm :frowning:
how come be so dificult :frowning:

To be honost…the administrator is crap or the router is crap. Because the latter is supporting port forwards I would bet my money on the first.

This is pretty much basic networking stuff.

just found out what make the router keep change my ip... it's due to my mac-adress changes as well

/interface bridge set bridge admin-mac=XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX auto-mac=no

and voilá... hope he never change he's ip... cause the administrator have set the ip on router to my ip be static...
