RouterOS Beginner Basics

I am trying to set up 2 951-2n wireless routers each wit a separate wan.

The issue I’m having is that I can’t get it to accept automatic selection of IP addresses from my ISP, it keeps defaulting to fixed?
Our ISP has a sightly different set up than usual in that we normally set other routers into bridge mode so DHCP was handled by the ISP’s router
which is on site. The options provided area bit OTT compared to what I’m used to. Is there a way to set up bridge mode?
So far the ISP can’t see either router when they check from their end.
A 30 min job has taken up most of my day, any help greatly appreciated !!!

what do you mean? 951 dhcp-client is not working?

Best practice is putting ISP router in bridge mode, and handle everything from the RB. But cannot see why DHCP-Client wouldn’t work, maybe you need to specify DHCP-Options, or set up any specific VLAN on your WAN-facing ether port?

Hi Thanks all sorted. I found out someone else had been working on it and had switched off the dhcp. Once that was clarified we got it sorted. Thanks for your reply
