Slightly confused on reading the quick start up leaflet in the box.
Plan is to set up 3 or 4 of these in a home. What does it mean about having a cap server? Can one of the units be the ‘master’? This setup will not have a mikrotik router by the way.
Will be turning this one unit on tomorrow to have a play with.
I have two capacs in the house as access points being controlled either directly or via managed switches by a MT router.
They are run with VLANs…
Basically the default setting out of the box needs little tweaking.
Create a bridge, add vlans, make necessary wifi settings and good to go.
I didnt mother using capsman to run the capacs because it adds another layer of complexity to the deal that I didnt want to face at the moment.
