Hey folks
I have a hEX Lite (which has no internal wifi device) and I want to connect an Aruba AP to one of its ethernet LAN ports and create a Guest Wi-Fi Hotspot with RADIUS authentication. Here is what I achieved so far:
- ether1 is configured as a WAN port (192.168.1.10) and connected to my ISP modem (192.168.1.1).
- ether2 is master LAN port with ether3 and ether4 being slaves. DHCP pool is (192.168.88.1/24).
- I created a Hotspot Bridge (br-bridge) with this pool (10.5.50.1/24) and added ether5 to it.
- I created a hotspot from IP > Hotspot > Hotspot Setup and assigned it to the hotspot bridge.
- I added a RADIUS server.
Now, I am expecting to see my captive portal when I connect my laptop to ether5 (just for testing before connecting the Aruba AP. But when I do, I don’t get the CNA to pop up. I went to the browser and wrote (captive.apple.com) to force the captive portal to show up, and I can see the browser trying to reach my captive portal URL with no luck to succeed. My initial explanation is that, this port is not connected to the internet. So, how can I fix this?
