Setting up a Management Port

Hello all,

I am new to Mikrotik and still kinda new to networking in general. I have with me a RB951Ui-2HnD router and I am using it to make a small lab, not as my home router. I connected to it via ether1 but I can’t quite figure out how to make ether1 my management port. Is there no such setting on this Mikrotik router or is there somethign I am missing?

You can move your ether1 to the separate bridge, configure separate IP network there and then only allow access to your MT from this network using “ip / service /” and/or firewall
