Setting up DHCP on Mikrotik: Comments please

Hi

I’m considering using the Mikrotik AP to act as A DHCP relay server (we have a Cisco router currently performing DHCP for clients).

Our client wireless units are currently configured with static IP’s. Is it possible for DHCP to be done for user PC’s on a different IP range? i.e. Client units have IP’s 172.xx.xx.0/24. Can DHCP be done for user PC’s on the 192.168.0.0/24 range? How can this be done?

The Mikrotik will relay whatever DHCP server you specify. It just needs to be on that IP subnet.
