I’m trying to set up a Huawei MU609 3G modem but am having troubles. The modem automatically shows up under Interfaces as an LTE modem (but it’s not an LTE; it’s only 3G). I can see that it registers successfully to the cell network but no matter what, I cannot access the internet through it. For now, I’m just trying to get a simple NAT connection from the modem to the ethernet port. I’m a newbie and don’t know all the steps to follow. Help please?
MU609 will always show as LTE interface.
Once registered, just add a dhcp client on the lte interface and you should be good.
