I have a working PPPoE/ADSL link to my ISP using an existing Netgear router that I would like to replace with the mikrotik.
I have associated a PPPoE client interface with one of the ethernet ports, and I see it communicating with the DSL modem and passing data back and forth.
When I look at the log on WinBox, it shows:
pppoe-out1: initializing
pppoe-out1: dialing
pppoe-out1: terminating…-disconnected
pppoe-out1: disconnected
and then the sequence starts again. I have verified that the username and password are the same as my existing router in the setup.
any thoughts about where to go next?
