I’m trying to setup my RB411 so that clients can connect wireless with authentication. the RB is connected to my dsl router with ip 192.168.0.1. dhcp should also be on.

Sorry, i was gone for some time. I have purchased a new RB433 to accomplish what I want to do. The ROS is latest and the firmware is also latest. the RB has L5 license. It has 2 wlan cards in. I want wlan1 to connect to my dsl router with IP 192.168.0.1 then I want to distribute the dsl to wifi clients that will connect to wlan2 via pppoe. I would also like to limit clients data usage to 1GB / month or 2GB / month or whatever. I would also like to limit the up and down speed. Please help me from after /system reset. I’m a complete newbie to MikroTik.

you can easily run setup for creating Accee Point mode in your RB433 with your Minicard and Antenna then setup HOTSPOT on your WLAN Interface for Authentication .

Best You Start with wiki.mikrotik.com then Download the configuration tool Winbox from http://www.mikrotik.com/download
Connect your admin station to the wired Lan (not port 1) and beginn.
