I can not setup the mokrotik wAp ac to do a network(without internet acces) to control my mixer. I just need a wirelles network ,the cat5cable in my mixer and a tablet that connect to this network so I can control my mixer with the app. With Microtik hAP work but I don’t know how to set up the wAp Ac.
Any help please?
The principle should be identical on both devices.
Your problem description is pretty vague, so that’s how explicit advice I can provide. Anybody with working crystall ball around?
Mikrotik’s LAN default is 192.168.88.xx address. So likely you just need to set your mixer to use 192.168.88.2 (subnet mask 255.255.255.0), and then the Mikrotik’s default Wi-Fi should find the mixer.
I try all of this.
The only diference between wAp and hAp is that the hap has 4 lan ports.
Becouse wAp has only 1 port I think that this is not configured to send ethernet to the mixer,but I don’t know how to configure it.
That’s probable, that single ethernet port may be configured as WAN by default.
Have a look a this thread, it explains how to make device a simple switch/ap (no routing). You may have to add DHCP server configuration though.
