Setup Help

Hi
I am attempting to set up a wireless access point / router and have got so far but despite reading the wikis and reviewing this forum I could do with some help.

I have a 411AR card which has built in wireless to which I have added an additional PCI wireless card.

Wlan1 is set to ap-bridge mode and I can connect to it from my laptop and am allocated an ip address and default gateway of Wlan1

Wlan2 is set to station mode and is itself connected to another access point and has also been allocated an ip address and the correct gateway and dns settings.

From the router I can ping devices on either subnet. I am unable though to ping from a host on the subnet of Wlan1 to a host of the subnet of Wlan2. I have (I think) added a source nat rule for all traffic going to the interface of Wlan2.

Can anyone suggest what I could check or point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance.

Gary

Do you have a route on the Wan2 network to your Wan1 network you created?

Hi
Sorry for the delay in replying - I’ve been away and only just got back.

Whilst away though I read the manual again and realised that my NAT was not masquerading. Once properly set everything works exactly as expected.

Thanks

Gary
