Hi @ all of you,
i was able to already setup a ‘MikroTik_CRS328-24P-4S+RM’ with the help of AI, but i have massive problems to setup a ‘MikroTik_CRS326-24S+2Q+RM’, i’m also not able to access this last device.
Our (AI & mine) attempt was done over “MGMT” (RJ45) connector, we try to reset the device many times, but, the most successful result was to get following error message:
username or password wrong
The AI propose to clear the cache of winbox but i’m not able to find it.
i’m on Linux CachyOS with following management software installed:
1 aur/winbox 4.1-1 [+80 ~2.26] [Installed]

- Note: i haven’t any experience with network devices, settings & configuration, but i use Linux since 20010. Please be patient with me.
- Hardware Setup:
- Fritz.Box 6591-Cable (until 2026-04-20)
- TP-Link_VX800v (from 2026-04-20 on)
- MikroTik_CRS326-24S+2Q+RM
- MikroTik_CRS328-24P-4S+RM
- all device need network connenction
At moment, ‘Fritz.Box 6591-Cable’ is connected with only one CAT 7 cable to ‘MikroTik_CRS328-24P-4S+RM’. The best way to setup the ‘MikroTik_CRS328-24P-4S+RM’, was to connect it to the ‘Fritz.Box 6591-Cable’ = Fritz←→MKT328(port 1)←→CachyOS (COS). Connecting MKT328 direct to ‘Intel 710 TL4’ of COS cause thee same error (username or password wrong).
Please help me to:
- Clear the cache of
winbox - Reset MKT-CRS326
- Connect & access MKT-CRS326 with COS/
winbox - Maybe also indicating me an additional cooling system (from 120 mm on) for SFP+<-->RJ45 transceivers best for mounting in 19" server-cabinet.
Maybe are these questions well known by you & you can lead me to detailed or newbie instructions/wiki/videos & so on.
