I’m planning to provide Internet access to a local event (concert) where there will be thousands of phones and possible the same number connection attempts.
I’m planning to use RB433AH with 3 * R52 cards with 3 sectors for 2.4Ghz (channel 1,6,11) and some loco’s for 5Ghz.
Software will be Hotspot, offsite radius, the simplest login page possible, each account limited to 256kbps (maybe 512k)
I may be very wrong with this setup but any suggestions are welcome.
200 concurrent users at 512k that means 100,2Mbps whereas the RB433AH does not have gigabit ports to handle more than that, unless you are planning to use its all 3 ether ports for load balancing.
3 * R52 radio cards could cause self interference with that many connected clients. I would probably go with 42,4Ghz sector access points that are surrounding the area and 12,4Ghz omni access point somewhere in the middle.
