I have an RJ45 Ethernet 1000-Base T SFP module which I once used in my hAP-AC to give me a 6th Ethernet port and it worked fine. Then I set it aside for a couple of years. Now I’d like to use it again, but it’s not communicating. I picked up a second, similar module and tried it in an RB2011, but again it doesn’t communicate.
I’ve just recently upgraded my Mikrotiks to RouterOS 7. Is there perhaps some configuration issue which needs to be set up to use these modules? Or what kind of troubleshooting steps would you recommend?
