Can the SFP port on the RB2011UAS feed a LAN switch? or is it only for WAN connections? I have a 48 port gigabit switch that also has an SFP port. This would be nice for throughput.
Thanks,
Matt

Hi there,
It certainly can feed a LAN switch.
I use a 2011UAS and the SFP port for this exact reason because the distance is too great for cat5e.
I have used the Mikrotik SFP modules in the 2011UAS and also in the Edgecore switch I use with no problems.
Great. Thank you for the information!
Technical it’s just a port like the other Gigabit ports. It’s up to you how to use it.
