Hello
I have a problem and i would appreciate the help.
I have two sites connected via ISP using mpls with cisco routers WAN connection without internet.
head site has an internet connection with mikrotik cloud core working as switch.
my question is, can i make the branch office use the internet of the HQ ?
keep in mind i don’t have access to the isp cisco routers
Thank you
Of course but…
You have to tell your ISP to route the branch office network to the internet..
Probably a simple route statement…
Set up a proxy in HQ so that other offices in the mpls vrf can reach the internet through it. I believe that was the intention of who chose that topology. Asking the ISP to leak your vrf to the internet will surely have additional costs.
You can set up a tunnel over the MPLS link but to do that, you’ll need to put another Mikrotik to the branch office. But if the MPLS provides an L2 link between the offices, you may need nothing but reconfiguration of the client devices in the BO. What are the IP subnets used at each site?
