Shared Users in Hotspot

I use hotspot (RouterOS 4.11) with Radius Manager 3.8.0 for quite some time now without problems.

I’m now trying to set up a new series of APs with a specific purpose. A property manager wants to provide prepaid cards to his rental guests. He would like each code to be able to be used by up to 4 computer simultaneously. I can generate the cards in Radius Manager just fine.

Is it possible in hotspot to restrict the users of one code to all share the same rate limit? For example, each code gets 2Mbps/1Mbps and there are 3 users logged in with the same code all getting no more the 2Mbps/1Mbps combined. I don’t care if it’s equalized or balanced, I just don’t want each shared user getting their our queue of 2Mbps/1Mbps.

Also, is it possible to allow users with these codes 4 simultaneous users, but restrict regular customers to only 1 computer at a time?

Thanks for your help.

As far as I know the answer is no.
We have a similar setup to you and haven’t actually managed to successfully get the multiple users working! Still waiting to hear back from Viktor.

For sharing one queue, not that I am aware of.

For the shared user, set up different profiles in Radius with a different port-limit attribute. Then assign the two kinds of “coupons” to the different profiles.

I can get multiple users if I change the Hotspot User Profile Shared Users. But, like me, you probably don’t want that for everyone.

I’ll let you know if I figure anything out.

Viktor from DMA Softlab got back to me and said that if I can update to Radius Manager 3.9 it will work. Has anyone tried it with 3.9? Hopefully the update won’t be too painful.
