I am using User Manager 5.2 and created a test user and set the Shared users to 5 but will only allow me to use the username and password once. I need to provide one sign in for a group of users and if I am understanding this correct I would set the number of shared users to the number of people I need to use the sign in. Everything else works fine BW limits, lime limits and what not I just get no more sessions allowed for user when I try a second laptop with the same sign in at the Hotspot Login Page.
Are you getting the message “no more sessions are allowed for the user ”?
If so, it means that the shared-users setting on the hotspot is too small.
Is shared-users on the hotspot setup the same as the userman?
The default on the hotspot is 1. Set this to match the userman or hide the field to let userman manage sessions.
If the error message is “simultaneous session limit reached” then userman is rejecting the login for too few shared-users.
