Have a system that has been running with 3 LAN segments for a year or so now with no issues.
They have now decided that they want to add Shortel Phones…
I usually am removing Shortel phones due the the ridiculous rates per month. So i don’t have any experience with them other then unplugging them and showing people drops of $1000 or more per month in phone billing.
Anyways… the VoIP company who is about to get that FAT Monthly Return emailed,
“all you should need for dhcp option 156 (string value) is the following:
Layer2Tagging=1, VlanId=2”
I have no idea where that goes or why.
They did not ask me to set up a DHCP server on the RouterBoard and they are adding switches.
