Hi Guys,
I’m trying to get RB912 working with Sierra Wireless modules (MC805, LTE7710 and MC8790). So far, no luck-routerboard doesn’t detect usb modem.
Can you please let me know if this particular board support sierra modules
thanks

Same Problem here with MC8705. MiniPCIe Modem works in RB/411U but will not be detected by RB/912UAG. Modem has actual DirectIP Firmware.
Description and sup-out file was just send to MT Support today.

Hi,
please upgrade the RouterOS to v6.1 and go into the system routerboard USB section and specify usb to use mini-pcie slot. This activate the USB on the mPCIe slot!

Hi meconet,
thanks for helping me out with this one.
Now I need this feature to keep modem connected to network all the times.
At the moment, it doesn’t come back online once network connection is dropped or if you resume data plan on SIM card once it reaches to its limit
any thought on this, please
set dial-on-demand=no and keep the interface enabled it should redial if the connection is dropped.
Thanks Uldis for your response
No I already have tried Dial-on demand=No option but it doesn’t work.
Please see in attached snapshot all settings on RB912. At the moment,3G network connection is down and it requires power cycle the router to get connection.
I also power-reset the USB. In logs, the entries “couldn’t acquire serial port” refer to USB power reset for 20 seconds. long power-reset durations also doesn’t solve the problem
