Signal Level Needed

Hello,

Using 2.4 ghz what signal is needed to have a stable connection of 11mb?

Would -85 be good enough?

better (average) is -75. -65 would be great, -55 would be ideal.

maybe a stupid question, but how can u test the signal if not using mikrotik cpe in the client side or the access point

Well the -85 signal cannot be fine, because with this value you would never can pass traffic. the -75 and -60 and so on is the tipical Ideal

Well thats debatable. It all depends on the RX sensitivity of the radios, and inband and out of band interference in the area.

It could work, just you definately wouldnt get 11mbps data rates, latency would most likely suffer, and you wouldn’t have much of a fade margin, so it would be far from stable.
