Hello,
I have a small office set up on a 2011 using Capsmain for wireless. All the connected devices are showing a signal strength of -60+
I am just curious if their is an official optimal signal strength.
Thanks,
Thomas

Hi
not bad !
It’s depend on your needs
But for an office it’s sufficient
Thanks for the reply. Is that a normal signal strength?
yes.
From -50 to -80 are normal signal strength
80 is bad for me because you need to achieve certain signal to noise distance.
Typically a good signal is around -55 dBm. -60 would be considered “full strength” or just below full strength. Above -65 dBm and you will start to see greater UDP packet loss and lower TCP throughput. Once you get above -75 dBm you can start to have connection issues.
This holds true for me with 2.4 and 5 GHz when the noise floor is between -100 to -115 dBm
