Signal values

Hello,

I have a point-to-point wireless link in station / station bridge mode, this link is for 500 meters and I use a pair of SXT 5HPnD devices.

I want to know if I could perform the signal quality, I don’t understand the values I got:

In bridge:

In station bridge :

Are this values correct? Which value is the important one?

I will really appreciate your help.

Kind regards.

You have 16dB difference between your chain 0 and chain 1 settings - I would resolve that first.

Check alignment and clear line of sight.

Thanks for the reply,

Is there any guide to make the aligment? I did it by hand.

Kind regards.

Easiest way is by having someone monitor the registration for you while you adjust - this can be done from either radio - just watch the CH0 and CH1 registration and adjust for best signal. You will need to do both ends of the link to get the best result.

You could do it your self if you can juggle a tablet/laptop, ladder and sxt but not recommended for safety

The goal is to get both Chains similar (not always exactly the same but they should be pretty close, say 0-3dB difference) and the signal as strong as possible (i.e -40dB is better than -50dB).

Using the LED on the station end works to a point but does not show the deifference between Chains.

Hope this helps.
