Significant improvement for wireless Nv2 PtMP

@uldis
which mode, Dynamic or Fixed Downlink?
And Downlink Ratio is 70%?

We tested the new release, and it works great.
n/ac, 20MHz, dynamic dl. ratio, auto TDMA period size.

@fiberwave
Downlink Ratio 70%?

80%, but it depends that what you want to achieve.
Where we have 30 clients on a sector, now we measure 80-90Mbps TCP per client.

Can you post more details about your setup? I’ve tried similar setup and had lower total aggregate throughput per sector than with previous ROS releases. Total throughput per single client wasn’t bad before.

We have a lot of sites in crowded and in silent areas with different specifications.
There’s not a given formula for all the different scenarios.

Whatever, the new rc sw increased the aggregated throughput per client where we had problems.

“Total throughput per single client wasn’t bad before.”

  • which works, do not touch it.

I understand that, same here. I tested on AP with 29 clients, 20MHz, NV2, tdma period auto, N only. Signals and CCQ were great. While doing simultaneous bandwidth-tests on ~10 clients, total throughput with rc46 was 10% lower than with previous relases. The single client performance wasn’t really an issue before for me.

Please send us a backup file or an export of that AP, it will be my Bible.

Testing, working good at a/n Ce with configured mcs up to 5 and 13 (75 nad 150mbit), guard interval long, period size 2ms, cell 10km, dynamic downlink ratio 50% Any chance for period size 1,5 or 2,5ms?

regards
Mateusz

Hello! When sq or other 711 get speed full test others get ping 200ms. If fix ratio 75/25 the same. Shoul it work then fine?
4 core=500mbit 600mhz=200mbit

Next mistake, sq noise -106, 711 -117, wtf mates.

Two different stations can absolutely have different noise floors, since they are in different physical locations.

same point, but different chipsets

First 2 days test on 2 AP

20 Mhz
fixed downlink 67
tdma period size auto
client 33
all client signal goog below -50
all modulation good

real world test in the peak time we have the same performance of 6.40.5 no download improvments but we have issue with the upload tha is aorund 256kb/s often less

Same test location. Something is wrong with noise floor with 711 old stuff. Rx i crazy, doing manualy noise floor on -100 then problem is gone.

Same here. Fixed downlink doesn`t work as it should. 1. It should clean ping peaks. 2. It should take every station separately so other station would live by tdma i think so.

I also didn’t notice any significant increase or improvement. The performance even dropped a little. I’d like to know some more info of exactly what this NV2 improvement do and what problems under what circumstances it should solve.

Very promising results, with an AP of 30 clients, MAX overall throughput has gone up from around 30megs to 45+ megs  basebox5 - N only - 20mhz - 4ms NV2 timing - dynanic downlink

This kernel crash is fixed in v6.42rc49.

Hello,

Would this fix work for PtP installations?

Kind regards.
