Hi guys,
From what I can see, it seems there is no hole for quick insertion of a sim card in the RB411U case.
Do you guys have anything to suggest to create such a hole in a clean way ?
thanks

If you need to change the sim w/o opening the case - maybe you can use one of those dual sim converters utilizing ribbon cable?
oh yeah, why not
I’m trying to find something userfriendly for an end user that is not suppose to open the case.
The sim slot is well placed on the board, a tiny hole could do the trick … but I don’t have the tools
why do you need to change the SIM so often?
Because in Europe you change country a lot, so it’s sometimes better to have one sim per country.
I may also sell my config without any sim card, so the user can add any card of any provider in any country
you have no choice, but to buy simple tool to cut nice narrow insertion slot.
yeah that’s what I thought … ![]()
I’ll let you know if I find anything clean
Any chance to find a plastic case ?
It would be easier to make a hole then …
and would also permit an internal UMTS antenna
Check our MFM page, there are companies that sell nice plastic cases for them, with built in antennas. Like Stationbox and others like it: http://www.mikrotik.com/mfm.php
did you ever see anything made especially for the 3G stuff ?
It seems still quite underground
you can ask any of them, the listed products are just samples, all of these companies make more stuff than they show.
