currently i’m having some queue trees, but i’m having difficulties with their report, since i can’t do graphing for each queue in queue trees (i’ve tryin to do it with cacti, but some cacti script files for graphing MT queue trees is missing).
in simple queue, we can do graphing for each queue we want. So my idea is setup a simple queue for each traffic that i want to show its graph with no limitations (0/0 in all TX/RX limit), and let the queue trees do the “real” bandwidth shaping. in other way, the simple queue is just for traffic accounting.
is that ok? or maybe it will be affecting the queue trees?
Yes, this method is ok, only you need to specify target-address for each queue.
But ‘queue tree’ should work via SNMP too, if SNMP is enabled, correct community name is used, corrects oids are used and traffic is not blocked by firewall (between router and SNMP collector).
any other tools (not cacti) that able to do graphing from queue trees OID? i mean, very simple setup, just provide the OIDs.. n then… the graph is yours…
