simple mesh portal setup

Hi guys,

I’m trying to set this mesh up:

non-mesh network A—>Routerboard(10.0.0.1)VLAN1–ethernet–>AP-Station(10.0.2.1)--------Wireless-------->AP(10.0.2.2)–ethernet-------------->Routerboard (10.0.0.2)VLAN1–> non-mesh network B

i will add complexity to this mesh once I can get my head around the basics of it…

the steps ive done are, without luck:

  1. create vlan1
  2. create mesh1
  3. set vlan1 to have interface=mesh1
  4. add ports to that mesh (under mesh tab)
  5. setup two routerboards as mesh protals
  6. give vlan layer3 ip
  7. give mesh layer3 ip

any help?
