using this simple queue:
name=“ManagmentToInternet” target-addresses=192.168.203.6/32
dst-address=0.0.0.0/0 interface=Management parent=none direction=both
priority=8 queue=default/default limit-at=0/0 max-limit=10k/64k
burst-limit=0/0 burst-threshold=0/0 burst-time=0s/0s total-queue=default
what should be the download rate !!!
It is logic to be about 51 KB /sec !!!
and is it true this calculation download Rate * 8 = Internet speed
The MikroTik limits work in kbps (kilobits per second), which is the same unit that they’re using to specify your Internet bandwidth by.
Due to protocol/OSI layer overheads, you will never get a download/upload rate as specified for your Internet connection.
eg. if you have like a 384kbps ADSL connection, which would translate to 48kB/s, you can expect to get at least 10-15% less with your downloads: ~41kB/s
I’m not exactly sure what you’ve tried to ask here…
so, you see those 51 KBps in queue stats?..
