Simple Queue blocking streaming media speed in mikrotik.

Dear Sir

We are configured mikrotik. It is working good. Now we introduced media server(Windows 2003). We are configured well and good it is working good and streaming is also good. Now the problem is. We are give net download /upload for limit use as 128kbps media streaming also blocking for media streaming nearly 2.9Mbps reacquired but out limit is 128kbps.

Now i want separate those two.

for streaming 2.9Mbps
for Internet 128kbps.

I want any solution. Tell if any one knows.

The media server is in the Lan segment? Can you post your lan / internet network diagram? can you post your queue/s config? do you use simple queues o tree queues?

And please tell me if your final intention is to give your users 2.9 mbps of stream bandwidth AND 128 kbps of internet at the same time, both in download? or what?

Hi, am new to Mikrotik. I need to block audio and video streaming on my network as it conjest the internet connectivity, thereby making the internet very slow.

better do it the other way around. give HTTP traffic a big limitation in speed, high priority, and then give the rest a small limitation, and low priority
