Simple Queue burst time in 2.9.24

I am setting up some simple queues in 2.9.24 but am observing that the burst times I set are being halfed. i.e., if I set a connection with a burst time of 40 seconds, it’s only allowing a burst for 20 seconds. Am I misunderstanding something?

Details:

Max limit: 128K upload/256K download
Burst limit: 256K/512K
Burst Threshold: 128K/256K
Burst Time: 40s/40s

With this config, on a download, the burst only occurs for 20 seconds. Doubling the burst time to 80 allows a 40 seconds burst before dropping back to 256K.

Burst-time does not specify time, when burst should work, average data rate is calculated for the specified burst-time value.

Thanks Sergejs. What’s the recommended burst threshold value? A lot of folks have it at the max limit while others have it at some percentage of the max limit.

I was referring to the burst threshold and not burst time.
