Simple queue changes cause 100% CPU usage

Hi.

We use CCR1036-8G-2S+ devices. RouterOS v6.36.3. Our configuration has many simple queues (about 2000). Regularly we need to add/remove simple queues. Usually traffic is about 1 GBit/s and CPU load is below 40%. At this time simple queue additions and removals go well without any CPU usage spikes.

But at times when traffic grows and CPU load reaches 45-50%, something goes wrong. At this time each simple queue addition/removal causes CPU usage to go up to 100% and it stays like that for tens of seconds. Profiler shows that 70% of cpu is used by ‘Queueing’. At this time traffic drops to 200-300 MBit/s. Then CPU usage goes back to normal until next simple queue change.

Has someone faced similar issue?

We already have support ticket for it: Ticket#2016091922002019. But we don’t receive any reply for 10 days already. It seems support is out of ideas already.

Do you have any loop in your router ?!
Test that with queue tree or add same ip in group queue
