This error has become a headache for us. Customers are getting this error when they are not logged in and they attempt to login. Some times they are in the middle of browsing, they would be logged out and they would get that error when they try to login again. The only solution we found so far is to delete the customer’s account and give them a new one. This is the main complaint we are facing daily.
Third: Some questions.
How many devices user can use with same account?
You have one centralized HotSpot or each AP has it’s own HotSpot?
Betwenn APs, you use same SSID or not?
You set timeout or limit on user profile? If yes, what are?
We have some accounts setup for 2 logins (shared users: 2) but we rarely assign that to users.
For 90% of my customers I have one central hotspot running on 16 Core (CCR-1016-12G). The APs are connected to the Central Router via 5 GHZ Point to Point Links. All APs are in WDS Bridge mode. My APs are all ubiquti (Rocket M2, M5, nano station, nano loco, PS2)
In two remote areas I have RB750UP acting as its own hotspot router but using the 16 core for Radius. The userman database sits on 16Core.
I broadcast the SAME SID on all APs.
Some users bye a daypass and get one day. Other users pay for 1 month and get 30 days. We have profiles setup in userman that we use to set the time.
I notice with no Session Timeout users that pay for 1 day stays logged in for well beyond 1 day.
Also Mikrotik is poor at updating APR list. When a customer IP change the MAC still shows up twice in the APR list.
Current Settings
idle timeout: 15 min
session timeout: blank
keep alive timeout:blank
Address per mac: 2 (was always set to 2)
