site to site VPN

Hi guys,

I have worked a bit with OpenVPN and other VPN types on the Mikrotik platform,
and I wonder which one is the best for a site to site VPN,
regarding performance / reliability. OpenVPN works great for me,
but maybe there is a preferred way / implementation?

I want to be able to connect subnets from both sides,
doesn´t have to be on L2, can also be routed.

I care more about performance than about secure encryption,
as the date inside the tunnel will be mostly SSH/SCP.
