I using 6.26 i create a skin with limited access, create a user group with limit permissions, attach the skin to that group,

run a backup.

give user the backup file for a new SXT same model

they restore it, without adding the skin in the skin folder,

user group show - unknown skin for that group

but the user can use the default skin with have all feature enabled defeating the purpose.

Is there a bug if skin is unknown the user get to use default skin? can this be denied

or better solution on backing up config file, can it also backup a customize skin or backup a modified default skin?

First of all, the Skin is not for limiting features or for security. Skin is for convenience. Skin is not included in Backup, because backup is only meant to be restored in the same device where it was made.

If you want to move configuration, you have to use “export” and move the skin JSON file also.
