Skype bypassing Hotspot

Hello everybody,

I just realized running skype behind a RB751G VPN client with active ovpn tunnel and correct routing, that skype even though the hotspot is activated, stays connected and can be used as if i were logged in.

That just got me thinking, if skype can do it, everybody can. What counld not yet figure out is, how exactly skype does it.

Any ideas?

have tested this and skype didn’t connect. I’d guess that skype is not using your vpn tunnel and is rather using the native connection you are using to carry the ovpn tunnel over.

Ok, if so how do i prevent anything from circumventing my tunnelrouting?
