Have hard time with mikrotik about speed.
Limited users to 700Kbits/s, but they never reach that on the network, with around 65 users connected.
Is the number of user related to that speed?

That heavily depends on the CPU used in the Mikrotik you talk about and the character of the traffic. What’s the routerboard model? 700 kbit/s per each of 65 users is roughly 45 Mbit/s if all the 65 clients want to transport data simultaneously which may be above the CPU’s ability. Also your network topology and physical parameters may limit the throughput. 54 Mbit/s on wireless is a theoretical max throughput for a and g modes, but it is a total throughput for download and upload together and a significant part of it goes to overhead, so unless your AP and clients both support 802.11n mode, the actual limit may be the wireless throughput.
