I have this small network setup where I used MK router RB800 where users connect through hotspot setup: I Setup four wireless router(linksys routers). The routers were setup just as bridge to my MK router.Ether1 host the incoming internet link, a cable from ether2 to a switch (8ports) then the router were connected to the switch. Then configure bandwidth sharing as shown in attached. What could be the cause of slow internet browsing? Though at times I have close to fifty users connected concurrently.
NB: I subscribe for 2MBps fiber optics connections.
First, you need to provide more info if you want anyone to help you. Based upon your description and images provided there’s nothing much to help you with.
Slow, browsing can be result of different issues. I see you are getting incoming traffic (eth1), but your not getting it trough on eth2. So, most probably there’s something in your firewall dropping traffic, or you have clients with low wireless registrations. Check your DNS settings and the settings for DNS you push to your clients trough DHCP. That could be a cause as well. If you’re not hosting your DNS server, you could use Google’s: 8.8.8.8 and … well look it up.
For the starters, plug in a laptop directly into a switch on eth2 and check if browsing is slow as well and you’ll have an answer. If it’s slow, turn off all unnecessary firewall rules and watch what is going on.
Forget about printscreens when asking for a conig check. It’s not working that way.
Form the printscreens I can only see that you have actually no firewall on forward chain. I do not see how you can tell that out of these images that anything is dropped in firewall forward. All I see are the drops on hs-unauth chain.
Send a config expo and I’ll try to help, but otherwise, I can only suggest on possible errors.
And by the way, this still sound like a faulty DNS server settings.
