Hi everyone… ..
When i change the address pool in ip->hotspot->servers from none to hs-pool(hotspot pool) for hide customers MACs and ips to be appeared in netcut and other scanning and sniffing Apps, i get slow Internet speed comparing to the none value.
Why that happened?
And what the best way to hide MACs and ips to be showed in scanning and sniffing Apps?
To limit the ability of users to misbehave with ARP poisoning / DHCP poisoning behaviors:
Use encrypted WiFi.
Use client isolation on every access point.
Use split-horizon or port isolation bridges/switches between the access points.
If your wifi is open, then there’s really nothing that you can do to stop people from doing whatever they want. It’s like having a conversation about top secret things, but held in a coffee shop, shouting across the room. ANYONE can listen to it. ANYONE can say something and be heard by EVERYONE else.
As for the “slow internet” when using pools - this doesn’t make any sense. The only thing it does when you specify a pool is tell the DHCP server where it should get addresses from when it makes assignments, and where the hotspot gets addresses from when assigning “virtual” addresses to hosts that don’t use DHCP. This should have nothing to do with anything that can affect performance, unless the addresses are coming from a range that has different queue rules or something.
