tx/rx strenth shows -69/-70 over this link and is only reliable at 6Meg. The fequency is 5805 and both sides of the anti were bought specificly for that frequency.
I’m using Atheros AR5211 on both sides of the link
In the first picture the grid antani is what I am using. (the omni is 2.4ghz hotspot). On the second picture on the top of the tower there is the small omni on the rightside of the tower. The large omni on the tower is also 2.4ghz hotspot.
The link pings 13ms and some times bouncds to 30-60.
Any suggestions on what to try next? Could the chimni seen in the first picture cause a problem?
There will be a fix in nstreme for the 5211 – nstreme was ignoring frame size limiting (and that is needed for the 5211 as it can not support as big frame sizes as the 5213… and new chips).
You might set the framer-policy to exact-size so that it will not send above regular ethernet frame sizes.
I just turned netstream on and moved to 5g-turbo. The pings seem to be a little more consistant. But any thing I use more than 6M like 9M or 12M it just bounces up and down, time outs, and the screen will go like 6M/9M 12/6M 9m then 6m then 6m/12m. You get the point. it just bonces constantly.
tx/rx shows -77/-75
tx/rx ccq shows 2/3
over all ccq 0
tx power is set to default
framer = exact size
farmer limit = 3200
preamble = both
antani gain = 0
fds=none
If your CCQ values REALLY are 2/3 or the like, you have VERY bad signal conditions, which would clearly explain your problems.
As the CCQ shows the percentual usage of the (theoretical) bandwidth, 2-3 show that there must be TONS of retransmissions.
I’d say the first things coming to mind are bad cabling/pigtails/… or real interference…
