slow nv2, big ping, unstable speed, low tx speed

Hi..
i,m use RB921UAGS-5SHPacD-NM with ubiquity AM-V5G-Ti

and have very very unstable result -
clients max 5km

base have 25 power tx
client have max 15 power tx

with nv2 bandwidth max 5mbit

with 802.11 - 30-40 mbit

big and unstable ping - 40-100ms

most client have low tx rate - 6mb

where problem???

Hi,

How does the ping look when you set the AP to nstream?

You could try and change the frequency

deleted…

P.S. clients sxt 5lite.

Frequency change not help!
i’m try 5280, 5180, 5160..

tests:

Are you using default wireless settings on both sides ? Check if there is set max channel-width, also look if on both ends is enabled fastest bands, try to repeat tests with whole range of supported frequencies.

Check if both chains are enabled (tx-chains=0,1 rx-chains=0,1):
/interface wireless print advanced

Also make sure you are using latest rOS with enabled wireless-cm2 package.

Hi I have a question.

What difference is there between Wireless-fp and cm2?

Does it provide more stable connectivity with higher speeds?

Wireless-cm2 is the latest wireless package, it contains more optimizations compared to the wireless-fp. We suggest to use cm2 package if it’s possible.

thank..

i’m try cm2 and try test again.

p.s. we buy only 3 freq - 5180, 5280, 5160 - other - i cant use…

p..s. May be sxt 5 lite need change to other sxt (for clients with distance > 3 km)? and if yes what can i use ?

i’m try cm2 and yes - speed up - but nv2 slowly then 802.11 about 2.5x

Ping less..

But all clients have tx ccq < rx ccq - why ?

Hello.
How much clients do you have on this sector? In first picture I see 23 clients. It is all?

In my opinion have mikrotik some problems with nv2 when on sector is more then 20-25 clients.
When is connected fewer clients so speedtest is good? You can simulate it by acces list.
Mark

Base have 24 clients.

Other base have 16 clients.

Yes other base dont have this problem (while… ), and when i’m starting connecting clients - i’m don’t have any problems on two bases - speed 30-40-50 mbit - ping 1-2ms.

But with more clients - i have very unstable result.

I’m try change tdma period from max to min - this not help - only make other problems - big ping or small speed.

What about SXT lite - maybe this not good for distance 3-5 km ?

I think - problem is in number of clients. We have the same problem on sectors.
When is about 25 clients on AP. It is high time to add additional AP…

what base (and sector antenna) and stations are you use? what speed you need for clients ? what freq you use ? what distance ?

rb912-5HnD, sector antenna - Raytra UIP514.61, stations (rb411,rb711,sxt, sextant), speed 10-20Mbit, distance 0,1-3km, freq 5500-5700Mhz

you use sector not mimo with mimo base ? may be you need disable one channel ?

and you have unstable result for all bases?

bandwidth tests have stable speed? i’m have very very unstable speedtest - speed go from min to max every second…
you can try change tx power on base and stations?

this very bad… (// rocket m5 have 34 clients - no problem)

Jip the amount of clients kills the nv2 performance.

I have a basebox 5 with about 45 clients connected.

5Mbit download and about 1 Mbit upload, all clients are within 10km.

Adding a new ap sometimes isn’t possible because there is no tower space left.

I think nv2 can be improved if MT adds a secondary cpu to offload the TDMA, if I understand correctly current NV performance is being limited by the atheros chip.

why upload very slow? what stations ?

And if nv2 perfomance very bad - why i’m need use nv2 instead of 802.11 ?
This is very strange and stupid situations!

45 clients - this wil be good for me  (but i’m need 5mbit download and upload)

What if I use wireless-cm2 on AP and wireless-fp on clients? Can this create issue like slow speed and so on?

I also want to ask, these packages can work together?

for ex. if I enable wireless-cm2 package on AP, the client side with wireless-fp package will connect to AP?
and if I enable wireless-cm2 package, the other package will be disabled automatically?

in the latest 6.33.5 the fp is enabled, and cm2 is disabled

I can say that for sure clients will connect to AP, but I can’t speak about performances (I tested only connection on a link).
Enabling wireless-cm2, the other package will be disabled automatically.

I would like to hear from MikroTik about performances between wireless-fp clients and wireless-cm2 AP.
