I have an OpenVPN tunnel between an RB1100AHx2 and a CHR. I get about 80mbps through it. The CHR is on 6.45.6 and the RB1100 is on 6.33.6. Anytime we upgrade the code on the RB1100, the OVPN performance tanks to about 1mbps. Downgrading resolves immediately. It’s very repeatable. Im not sure exactly what threshold code version it breaks at, but we’ve tried code in 6.41, 6.42, 6.43, 6.44, 6.45, and 7.0beta3. All have the exact same issue…
Any guess at all? The RB1100 does have some firewall rules but I’ve disabled them to enable fastpath and saw no change on the later codes. This box is susceptible to several PSIRTS and we can’t patch them with the performance hit…
