Slow Speeds through mikrotik PPPOE!!

Hi guys ,

I have a PPPOe server on the mikrotik router. Here is the Query.

If i connect a computer to the pppoe server and download here are the downloads i get:

  1. MICROSOFT.COM = 200 KB / 200KB

  2. BOX.NET = 50KB/ 50KB

now if i eliminate the mikrotik pppoe server and directly put my isp’s lan cable into my computer with a static ip, here are the downloads i get:

  1. MICROSOFT.COM = 200 KB/200KB

  2. BOX.NET = 200KB/200KB


    Microsoft will give the same result but box.net will not.
    Both the times i am using the same dns server address.

Please explain what can be the issue??
