Slow USB drive access

Hi,

I’m trying to use the USB drive in my RB951-Ui-2HND. I’ve tried accessing it over SMB and over FTP, and with either of these I can’t get much beyond 1MB/sec reading from the drive over the network. I have routers from other vendors that will read much faster from the same drive, this seems to be a limitation specific to Mikrotik, and there are older threads discussing it such as this one:

My question is, does anyone know if Mikrotik is working on this issue, or is there any other updated information on it?

I don’t remember any statement from mikrotik about this problem…

now 5 years later and I also suffer from it, I think this problem is not known or has never been done with it
