Small device for per-IP address bandwith monitoring

I’d like to monitor per-IP address internet traffic in a LAN with about ten hosts, the connection is ADSL.
I have a basic knowledge of networking but no experience whatsoever with RouterOS.
Ideally I’d like to pick a RB, put it between the actual router and switch and have it doing routing and monitoring. The less configuration the better.

  1. Can RouterOS keep per-IP address statistics?
  2. Is RB750 powerful enough for the task?
  3. If not what device would you recommend?
  4. How many data could the device store?
  5. Would a device with a bigger RAM amount like RB450 be advisable?
  6. Do I have to pull the data from a client in the LAN or can I install a periodically push the data on a remote host from the device itself using ssh?

This is sort of like this thread but I’d be installing the device in this case.

Any thought appreciated.

A.

Use simple queues per each client ip.

Thanks for the reply, I assume you’re saying that the RB750 is good enough for the task.

I see you are referring to this by saying “use simple queues”. Do queues allow to keep track of the exchanged data?

Do I have to manually create per-IP address queues or is there a “catch-all” command that will create a queue per each new IP address it sees?
