SMB over Mikrotik VPN

Good day all
I am very new to Mikrotik so please help.
I have a TrueNAS server with SMB share. I want to be able to access that share from another site using the Mikrotik VPN. How do I go about setting it up?

Start with providing more details. How’s ability to accept incoming connections from internet for each site (public address yes/no, static/dynamic), router models, RouterOS versions, …

Without or without that information the answer is quite simple:

  1. set any vpn between sites.
  2. set the MTU & clamp MSS to same size on both ends of VPN
  3. check if you can ping devices from both sides with small and huge packets.
  4. Start using SMB.
