Am sort of loving my new Mikrotik stuff… the equipment is great, the person trying to configure it isn’t. The quick settings aren’t much help… coming from Synology routers, this system does seem unnecessarily complicated. Anyway, that aside:

My shiny new CCR2004-16G-2S+, seemly brilliant in every way, arrived without the USB slot your webpage and indeed the resellers webpage promised. Surely you should be telling potential customers before they buy it? I want to run containers on it, and am somewhat stymied without the ability to add a drive. Anyway, too late now.

The other equipment I am installing are two HA ax3 wifi routers and a CRS310-8G+2S+IN. Now all of those have USB slots, and indeed I am also attaching a Synology NAS to the network. I’m beaten though. How on earth do I add a drive share to my router? Surely the router is the best equipped for running containers? We are told not to use the internal storage for containers, what are my alternatives please?

Thanks in advance.
